Buildings can be seen as microcosms, a potential testing ground for models of the ecological and economic renewal of the society. When setting out the issue of satisfying these needs, we must consider both local and global environmental limitations. However, past studies indicates, during the last 50 years architects and building professionals have been concerned about reducing the environmental impact of the built environment. Sustainability is a term which is frequently coined in any field during contemporary era where the negative impact of human intervention is clearly visible.
